Creamer Caper Part 3

After receiving an almost unanimous response from my colleagues that they do not in fact use our creamer I've decided to send the following email tomorrow...

"Dear Team,
Annie and I apologize for Monday's creamer email. Apparently, we are in fact going through 2 bottles on our own each week. To eliminate any confusion we've decided to place our creamer in a clear plastic milk jug in the refridgerator. You'll notice there are two such jugs. The other jug is filled with a liquid laxative.
Best of luck,
Stef & Annie"

Update on the Creamer Caper

Today I sent out the email below to our building regarding the Creamer incident:

Subject: We have something in common...

Body: We all love Sugar Free Flavored Coffee-Mate Creamer!

Annie and I have been sharing the purchasing responsibilities for the past few months but have noticed that we are going through them at a more rapid pace lately. After deploying the fairly sophisticated tracking method of marking the date purchased on the lid with a Sharpie, we were able to deduce that we've reached the consumption rate of one bottle every 2.5 days (equivalent to $28.72 p/month).

We are pleased to share and would only ask for a nominal donation to keep our mutual coffee habits alive and well and the peeps of GCP #4 awake and happy.

A marked cup has been placed in the breakroom.

Thank you,
Stef & Annie

Responses:
  • Stephanie, I don't drink coffee, but would be more than happy to help contribute to the replacement of the "goods".
  • Sorry, I do not drink coffee here.
  • Lynn, (our accountant)
We will need to increase the non dairy budget line by 5% instead of the traditional 3%
    -John Norris (our vice president)
  • Have you seen the characters in the comic strip Family Circus "Not Me" and "Ida Know"? Sounds like they may have escaped Toontowne.
I've always said that if the almighty had intended for coffee to be consumed with sugar and cream he would have put it in the bean.
With that said does that apply to the artificial stuff?????

No Coffee No Workee

I returned to work today after being out sick on 5/21 and 5/22, which isn't important really except for when I tell you what happened during my absence. You see, on 5/20 I purchased a brand new jumbo size Sugar Free Hazelnut Coffee-Mate Creamer. We've (Annie and I) developed a habit of writing the purchase date on the cap of creamer so we can track how long it lasts. Well congratulations ladies and gentleman of Sawgrass Village Building #4, you've set a record. Two and one-half days (it was purchased during lunch on 5/20) and you drained an entire bottle.
I could say "I'm not even mad-I'm impressed," but if I'm being honest, and this is my honest place, I'd tell you that I'm a little annoyed. A wise friend once told me, "don't eat the first piece or the last piece and we'll be just fine." So, I submit to you, my coffee-loving friends on the internets, creamer prices are sky-rocketing just like gasoline...how would the office folk feel if i drained their tanks and only left a splash....

*this post is supposed to be overly dramatic. i have very little problem with sharing (i swear mom, i've out grown it)
