Dinner at Morton's last night

Sooo, last night John Norris (my big boss) treated us to dinner at Morton's in downtown San Diego. (Please see the coolness of the customized menu above.) And apparently, John Norris is famous. Both the assistant manager (Tim) and general manager (Barry) greated us upon arriving. The food was unreal. S0 naturally, we made the dinner last as long as possible.

I had the special, which was lobster tail and a petite filet with asparagus and a dinner salad. I had the Morton's salad, hold the anchovies, and it was delish. Beth and I shared it and both of us don't typically like blue cheese dressing, but this dressing seduced us. The lobster was heavenly and the steak melted in my mouth. OOOOH and dessert. We had apple pie and the Morton's Chocolate Cake. Tim suggested an outstanding cabernet for our dinner and it was just as amazing with dinner as it was with dessert.

It was the most grown-up thing we've done all trip. After we finished off our desserts and after dinner drinks the assistant manager, Tim, asked us where we were headed. We followed his suggestion of J6 a rooftop hotel bar where the GM also had worked for J to the N. It was a fabulous place too! We had one more glass of wine each (one of which was free due to the Norris name) and then headed straight home.

My belly is still full this morning btw.
